Thank you for choosing Legacy Home Inspections

We appreciate your trust in Legacy Home Inspections for your inspection needs. As a proud veteran-owned business in Wake County, North Carolina, we proudly serve the Triangle region and beyond. Our team is committed to providing excellent service and maintaining the highest level of professionalism.

Our inspectors follow the Standards of Practice established by the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board and InterNACHI. While we work hard to deliver a thorough assessment, it is important to recognize that a home inspection may not uncover every existing or potential issue. The inspection report reflects conditions observed at the time of the inspection and does not predict future changes or failures. Additionally, property conditions may change between the inspection and the time you take possession, regardless of whether the property is occupied or vacant.

Understanding Your Report

To help you navigate the inspection results, the report is divided into two main sections:

  1. Summary Page: This section highlights items that require attention, repair, or monitoring.
  2. Body of the Report: This section provides detailed educational insights about the systems and components of your home.

Although the summary offers a quick overview, carefully reading the entire report is essential. Every section includes valuable information that contributes to a complete understanding of your property’s condition. Following the recommendations outlined in the report will help you protect your investment and maintain a safe, well-functioning home.

Directional References

For clarity, all directional references in the report assume you are facing the house from the street or its main entrance unless stated otherwise. For condominium or apartment units, directions are relative to the building’s main entrance.

Inspection Ratings

We use clear and concise ratings to describe the condition of items in your home:

  • Inspected: TThe item was examined and found to function as intended.
  • Not Inspected: The item was not examined due to specific limitations outlined in the report or inspection agreement and contract.
  • Not Present: The item was missing, not installed, or otherwise absent.
  • Deficiency: Issues were found with the item, and further evaluation, repair, or monitoring by a qualified contractor is recommended.
  • Safety: Safety concerns were identified, and immediate repairs or remediation by a qualified contractor are strongly recommended.

Additional Notes

Details about the home’s size and age come from third-party or public sources. We do not independently measure or verify these details.
