2. Scope of Services

Legacy Home Inspections provides professional home inspection services for residential properties. Our inspections are non-invasive and provide a general assessment of the property’s condition at the time of the inspection. The inspection report is based on visible, accessible components of the home and does not predict future conditions or uncover hidden defects. Clients should be aware that an inspection is not a guarantee or warranty.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for ensuring access to the property for the scheduled inspection, including unlocking doors, providing necessary permissions, and ensuring that all utilities are turned on. The client should review the inspection report thoroughly and address any concerns with the inspector. Clients should also understand that the inspection is not a substitute for routine maintenance or repairs.

4. Limitations of Liability

Legacy Home Inspections is not responsible for defects or issues that are not visible at the time of inspection, nor are we liable for any structural, mechanical, or safety failures that arise after the inspection. We do not perform destructive testing, and our assessments are limited to what is readily accessible. The client acknowledges that the inspector’s findings are based on observations made during the limited time of the inspection.

5. Payment Terms

All fees for inspection services must be paid in full prior to or at the time of the inspection unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Failure to make payment may result in legal action or withholding of the inspection report. Payment methods accepted include credit cards, checks, and electronic transfers.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled inspection may be subject to a cancellation fee. Refunds will be provided only under exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of Legacy Home Inspections. If an inspection cannot be completed due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., lack of access, safety concerns), a partial refund or rescheduling may be offered.

7. Confidentiality

Inspection reports are confidential and intended solely for the client. They may not be shared with third parties without prior written consent from both the client and Legacy Home Inspections. However, if required by law or for professional purposes, the report may be disclosed as necessary.

8. Marketing and Use of Images

By using our services, the client grants Legacy Home Inspections permission to take and use photographs of the inspected property for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, website content, and advertisements. Any identifying details of the client or private information will not be disclosed. If a client wishes to opt out of this provision, they must notify us in writing prior to the inspection.

9. Communications and Messaging

By registering for our services, you agree to receive promotional and informational messages from Legacy Home Inspections. These messages may include updates, offers, reminders, and important service-related information. You can expect to receive messages on a weekly basis. Message and data rates may apply.
